Wake up, get down to those train tracks and meet me. Real close, not far from the dead and still dying old birch tree. Long walk, short distance from our hometown factory. Good friends and bad choices will make us realize and come to see. Cause I know you'll be missing this when you move to those city streets. Cause right now, suburban love has never tasted so sweet.
2.
She's got her band tee with her tight jeans and I'm not too sure exactly what she means. She says, "Baby, I had a bad dream. You weren't there for me when you should've been." She knows she's not bad, I kinda like that. I've got my worn out Vans, she thinks that's so rad. She says, "Baby, I'm on the cheer team." She wants to get real close cause shes a big tease. She's so pretty, smart and witty. She seems perfect, Hope shes not a hoe.
3.
Cause I heard you've been talking to other boys. Cause I guess my voice sounds more like distorted noise. Cause I've got your picture hanging on my wall And I know that you've got mine, but you're just waiting for it to fall. Cause I heard no one can run quite like you from loving, Tell me something I can do.
4.
Emotion 03:30
You want to tell me everything you know Now I feel guilty that I'll never go to those distant places, far away. One of those places for a rainy day. Everyones a number in the book The governments out there, they're gonna catch those thieves and crooks. Just take a look, all you gotta do is think for a second. Cause they could tie me to the ground, I know you wouldn't let me down. Hero at the sight of the scene, and I can feel your emotion.
5.
Watch me break on down tonight, you don't need to make a sound As I try and forget the girl I once loved to have around. I'll feel sick to my stomach as my heart hits the ground, I'll be as scared as a lost dog just looking to be found. Cause when you left me alone that day, we both knew we weren't alright. I just wish I was stronger but is it worth the fight? Cause if it is let me tell you, I could fight till I die. I just need you to tell me that we're worth one more try. I'm not so sure things will be alright, but my favourite songs get me through the night. My friends they talk shit about you, that's what best friends do. They make me feel like I'm worth it, like I don't need you. This is what friends are for.
6.
Selfish 04:44
Waking up when I'm feeling so down Get out of bed, and I head right into town. I wait inside my mind for something just to change, There's people dying, but it don't seem all that strange. Well there is something that I got enough to know, So much is going on, too bad it'll never show what it feels like to help somebody off the ground To put them on their feet, to see them spin around. He sits at his desk and watches the city drown. The people protest, he's not going down. He won't do a thing, no, he won't make that change. You'll call it fucked up, but he don't call it strange. Cause we're too selfish to help or feed the weak, and in the evening, we're gonna find it so hard to speak. I wish there was something we could do. I heard ya, I'm not talking to you. Somebody save me.
